As an Eastern North Carolina native, Sarah grew up in the athletic community and witnessed the need and potential for an organization such as RISE. Her passion for the organization comes from helping others and encouraging young athletes to pursue goals that help them grow both athletically and personally. Guided by her faith, Sarah is committed to serving youth with love, integrity, and encouragement, helping them recognize their God-given worth and potential.

Scott brings a lifelong passion for athletics and service to RISE Through Sports. Growing up in an athletic family with a father who coached high school football, Scott learned early the value of teamwork, discipline, and leadership. He later played college football at Campbell University, where his appreciation for the impact of sports on personal growth deepened.
Guided by faith, Scott felt led to help build an organization that strengthens community and serves youth through opportunity and mentorship. His work serving Pediatric Hematology and Oncology patients and their families across Eastern North Carolina further fuels his commitment to supporting young people, providing encouragement, and helping them recognize their value beyond circumstances. Through RISE Through Sports, Scott seeks to empower youth with examples of service, resilience, and purpose.

Dusty has a deep passion for sports and the vital role they play in youth development. Athletics provide a unique environment to cultivate discipline, leadership, teamwork, and perseverance—skills that shape young people for life, not just competition. Sports are an equalizer, offering every child the opportunity to achieve what they set their mind to through dedication and hard work, and Dusty believes every child deserves the chance to play.
Dusty and his wife, Emily, have three young athletes of their own. As a Children’s Pastor, Dusty is committed to helping the next generation discover their God-given gifts and purpose. He believes sports can be a powerful platform for developing both character and faith in today’s youth.
